Wololo will be releasing its Vita homebrew loader very soon. There are many homebrew that compatible with it. You can get more info on their website.

Will only work for like fifty people before it gets patched.

They actually have a pretty good system for releasing these things.  All you have to do is sign up at wololo's site and be active/known/trusted there and they will give you the info before the public release.

I have my Vita running the Uno exploit right now.   With TN-V you can have the PSP XMB with 6.60 ctf themes.  So I am going to have to dust off my PSP and update it to 6.60 cfw and start making some more themes since they are now good for the Vita too!  Madwin
I had the uno exploit as well, though I decided to upgrade since I couldn't play most of my games I bought....but I pretty sure I can nab the new exploited game before Sony decides to take it down.
Lol, right after I move and have no internet or monies, those bastards.

How long does it take to become trusted? Is there like a certain number of minimum posts?

Also, how does the VHBL work? Regarding restrictions and stuff, I'm like completely out of the loop here.

To become trusted? well you can't be 100% trusted but as long as you're on wololo forums and a continual partaker in discussions and you're overall liked probably not long but there is no definitive time.

As for how it works....
The ps vita runs a psp emulator to run PSP games on the vita. With that they find a game that they can use to find/create a user-mode exploit and get a form of CFW running on the emulator (through savedata) Sooooo VHBL then allows you to play most home-brew games and emulators that you could use on your PSP (but alot nicer because of the OLED screen). The only restrictions are depending on the quality of the exploit, I only say that because sometimes there are compatability issues with certain emulators or Home-brew games and they can freeze your vita (easily fixed by just turning it off and continuing on with what you were going to do....minus the game that doesn't work of course.)

VHBL does not play PSVITA iso's for one very obvious reason......they don't exist, but it also does not psp iso's either.

EDIT: Updated Compatibility List for those that care «--- a while ago wololo put this up on his site, so for those that care and are interested here's the list updated.
The system itself is rather silly, they'd probably be able to hack the entire system instead of putting so much effort into these super sekret releases and loaders. This is definitely one of the worst solutions to homebrew on the vita, I only consider it as a compromise.

yeah that's how I feel it is
It sucks, but it's the best that wee can do at the moment.
Perhaps Sony have actually learnt from their past mistakes and have developed a system that's somewhat secure...  Too bad that it's usually to the detriment of their users however.
