Endless Paradigm

Someone's posted a project on GitHub which lets you add an 'NSA monitoring' panel to your Rails app:

Now, if only I could find the time to make a Rails app...

Was this meant to be in response to something?
It seems like I'm missing something here :/

Interesting, though was that via a backdoor?  My quick scan seems to suggest they were tapping ISP data?
