Soul Sacrifice Delta is out people! Please post in this thread if you want to get added to the list of active players!

So what's new in Soul Sacrifice Delta? Lots of things!

Spoiler for New things in Soul Sacrifice Delta:
First off one of the main new things is that you can pick your alignment:

In the first game Avalon and Sanctuarium were the main factions, but you only played as a Sorcerer from Avalon. Now you get to pick your alignment, and along with it comes a different scoring and rewards system.

Following this, you earn Slayer Points for your faction of choice and log them to compete against the opposing factions:

At the end of each week the winning faction gets special rewards and top players from the winning faction who have logged the most Slayer Points get even better rewards.

Since there is choice in this game, and all last game you played as Avalon, not a lot seem to play Avalon currently. Which means Avalon (my faction of choice) has consistently been beaten every week.

There is of course so much new content:

Each faction has many of its own side stories involving many of the Sorcerers from the Soul Sacrifice Delta world.

Avalon, Sanctuarium, and Grim all have many of their own Sorcerer side stories. As well as the newly added Alice's Eternal Maze which is a randomly generated 30 floor deep hell hole of one boss fight after the next.....

Compared to the original Soul Sacrifice there are loads of new pacts:

I don't think ill be getting through them anytime soon...

Another new feature is Bazaar Ledger which is like a store system:

You can purchase aesthetic items from Carnatux, and rumor notes from the others. You can also check faction stats from here.

And finally the player customization has had a big overhaul:

There are many, many new costumes and now accessories too. You can mix and match outfits by wearing the top and bottom half of different costumes, giving you so much more customization.

The Sigil system has also been changed. Once you hit level 100 from a combination of your total blue life and red attack levels, you can perform The Rite Of Transmutation and rewrite your level back to level 1. In exchange for this, you can acquire a very powerful Sigil you can place on your heart:

List of Story and Pact rewards

Currently there appears to be no complete list and there is some much content in SSD. I have managed to find this current list in Google Docs that is being worked on regularly.

Offering Combos

In Soul Sacrifice Delta you can use multiple Offerings together while in battle to make awesome combination moves.

Spoiler for Offering Combinations:
Weapon+Mine
Combine a nonelemental weapon with any mine, or an elemental weapon with the same element.
Cast mines, summon weapon to infuse and transform command to "Magic Slash"
Only works with "Weapon", does not work with Spear, Arm or Beast.

Weapon/Spear/Arm/Beast+Evasive
Have both an evasion offering and weapon summon offering active at once
Attacking at a distance or in the middle of a dodge will change the attack to a dashing hit
Ground evasion transforms the attack into an uppercut, comboable offerings can follow up with air combos

Explosive+Terrain
Lay terrain and activate the explosive. Standing in the terrain will 'charge' the explosive, let loose after flash
Works with non-elemental + any terrain or elemental+same element terrain

Homing+Terrain
Lay terrain and charge same element Root while standing in it. Does not seem to have a power boost but charges quickly

Throw+Terrain
Lay Terrain and activate throwing offering while standing in it, projectiles will flash
works with non-elemental + any terrain or elemental+same element terrain

Bomb+Terrain
Summon a bulb on terrain of the same element (or use terrain on a bulb in place)
Bulb absorbs terrain and transforms into a turret that fires projectiles at enemies
No longer explodes

Bomb+Mine
Bulb absorbs same element mines, transforming into a mortar firing projectiles that rain down on enemies
No longer explodes

Summon+Homing
Summon a Golem and use the same element Root or Mine on it to power it up
Does not work with Nonelemental Golem.

Summon+Roar
Summon a golem and use a Roar offering to split it into 5 mobile mini-golems
Works with any golem and any roar, regardless of element

Armor+Shield
Activate elemental armor and activate the same element shield
Shield will be much larger and command will change to "Epic Shockwave"

Armor+Blitz
With same element armor active, Blitz can be charged after the first hit with the command "Magic wings".
Loses the armor after Magic Wings is executed, therefor it is most efficient to use it on the last hit.

Arboreal+Pillar
summon an arboreal tree and then follow up with a pillar. Does not work the other way around
Wraps the pillar in roots, giving it the arboreal offering's effect while standing on it
Largely useless with speed fruit. Does not work with fused trees using Arboreal+Arboreal combo.

Arboreal+Area Heal
using an AoE healing offering near a tree that is missing fruits will restore the fruits
Useful to keep Arboreal combo fruits in supply

Parasitic+Area/Target Heal (Coop recommend)
Applying Leechblossom to an enemy will cover it with vines. Hitting the target with area or target healing (Halebloom petal works best) will cause it to bloom and explode for damage.
Best done coop as the effect has a high threshold

Heal over Time+Roar (Coop)
with Regenesis Seed's healing over time in effect, use a roar offering which will spread the effect to other char

Morph+Beast (Coop)
Transform into a boulder, have ally use a beast offering's breath attack on the boulder
Boulder will shine before transforming into a larger boulder, command changed to "Juggernaut"
(unknown): Boulderbug works with any element? Fire and Stone versions probably only work with same element

Morph+Arm (Coop)
Transform into a boulder, have ally use arm offering to punch it
Unknown if any more effective than the morph's regular charge attack.

Arboreal+Arboreal
Pick the fruit off one tree, go up to another (or the same tree) and use "Arboreal Fusion". Resulting fruit will have new effect.
  • Vimblossom+Vimblossom=Demon (Huge attack boost)
  • Vimblossom+Wallblossom=Bastion (Nullifies a single attack)
  • Vimblossom+Levibloom=Aegis ("Temporary immortality"- You'll still take damage but won't die?)
  • Vimblossom+Healing:No effect
  • Wallblossom+Wallblossom=Ether (Huge elemental defense boost)
  • Wallblossom+Levibloom=Warding (Nullify stat ailments)
  • Wallblossom+Healing:No Effect
  • Levibloom+Levibloom=Gale (Huge speed increase)
  • Levibloom+Healing=Adept (Longer lasting effects)
  • Healing+Healing=Life (Larger HP restore)
  • Starveling+Starveling=Fiend (Larger HP restore and attack boost)
  • Starveling+Anything Else=Cthonian ("Grants apparent death"- you count as dead for a though you can't interact like ghostmode, except with fruits.)

UPDATES AND DLC

SSD is continually getting free updates and DLC containing new costumes, bosses, and packs.

Update 7/8/2014

SSD update blog post
Spoiler for Update Details:

Hello everyone. Today has seen the release of patch 1.30, the last planned update for the game. Let’s all take a moment…

Right, now let’s get cracking because if wee’re going out, wee’ll make sure wee do so with a bang! And when I say “wee”, I mean “you”, in a very brutal way for I am pitting you against the brainy founder of Avalon himself!

[Image: 14852041715_8198ac9f72.jpg] [Image: 14852041295_df2b62291e.jpg]

He started his monster slaying career as “Persapius I” and finished it as the infamous fiend “Odin”. I am sure you will appreciate the irony that he would himself turn into the very thing that he worked so hard to destroy. Some people are obsessed with gold, some with power, beauty, love… For the first Persapius it was knowledge, an unquenchable thirst for it which drove him over the edge. And yes, you’ve guessed it: it’s up to you to clean up the mess.

[Image: 14871935163_965ccf2615.jpg] [Image: 14665360500_f62dc46030.jpg]

So good luck, be strong and pay extra attention to his cursed parts if you want to learn a thing or two about his powerful magic.

[Image: 14852042895_45628d1d46.jpg] [Image: 14851716232_8a4fe85c3f.jpg]

Before you head to your doom, why not pay Carnatux’s shop one last visit? I hear he’s just received this month’s must-have garment, guaranteed to make you the most fashionable corpses around:

For him, the original Magusar costume. In one word: vintage.

For her, the very summery outfit from Kat, of Gravity Rush fame.

As always, this patch is served with all the trimmings: Additional Pacts, Rumours, Sigils, NPCs and numerous bug fixes, tweaks and enhancements.

That’s it from me for now, but stay tuned because wee’re not quite done yet…

Update 3/7/2014

SSD update blog post
Spoiler for Update Details:
Sorcerers and witches, mages and magicians, the time has come for a new encounter. Gaze upon Gigas!

[Image: 14562754334_e797ae6711_n.jpg] [Image: 14541326276_359e2cafcb_n.jpg]

It has become a bit of a tradition that love stories in the Soul Sacrifice canon shouldn’t have a happy ending. Well, Gigas’ is no exception, I’m afraid. “Recipe for disaster” would be a more accurate summary of the situation: take a lost soul, mix in a generous amount of desperation, sprinkle a glimmer of hope and blend the lot with crushing disappointment. Let it simmer for long enough and the Sacred Chalice will do the rest!

Wee’ve organised three quests in the Additional Pacts VIII so you guys can break the ice (and each other’s bones).

A new date calls for new clothes but don’t worry, wee’ve got you covered with not one but two new outfits:

The Sanctuarium chic “Healer” costume:
[Image: 14541180586_e510cf88d7_n.jpg] [Image: 14377834357_6de98b6ba4_n.jpg]

The unapologetically Grimm “Beast” costume:
[Image: 14377684879_8a21ef71ef_n.jpg] [Image: 14377834357_6de98b6ba4_n.jpg]

This is only fair, actually, since these factions have trusted the first spot of the Faction Power Balance. So to the Avalon fans out there, I will just say: work harder, keep logging your Slayer Points and soon, you too could parade your faction’s colours like a boss. So go on, don’t be shy and hit that DOWNLOAD button on the title screen.

Talking of download, I guess wee could do with a quick recap on how to get our hands on all the regular content updates in Soul Sacrifice Delta. I trust you are now familiar with the DOWNLOAD button found on the title screen?

This is how you get additional pacts and costumes. Note that the costumes can be added to your Raiment list or to Carnatux’s Shop.

While you’re in the Bazaar Ledger, you might want to ask Aurex the Whisperer if he’s heard of any “Local rumours”.

These are only available for a limited time and updated every other week, so make sure you pay Aurex a visit every now and then.

Finally, in the Blank Page mode, you can check the Psychic link and access special pact pages.

Keep in mind though that these come and go every fortnight, so don’t leave it too late to complete the quests if you want to reap their precious rewards.

With these words of wisdom, I shall leave you for now. But don’t worry, wee will meet again soon with yet more things to do (or to be undone by) in Soul Sacrifice Delta.

I don't particularly like the "Berserker" black right....... it's almost like a pun about how your mind was just blown or something!
I like the DLC. The new bosses are sweeeet have just finished beating the spoon outta both of them and completed the new 10 missions. I don't mind the new rite, think its sweet. However best used on your own, interferes with your team mates too much.

Both. The final mission is a 10* Jack O Lantern, so the hardest in the game so far. Hes fun to beat. Also the gemini boss battle with Dullahan and Behemoth is way easier than Id thought it be.

Working on my 1/99 build for my final trophy! Am current at 12/82, was slayin me so Leviathan today.

Will post screenshots soon~

I had no problems with either of those guys the only one I had problems was the second headless knight pact where the field corroded my health. Anyways I'm having some problems with some pacts I have a link for ya if you want to take a look, oh and defeating leviathan was fun!!!!! (also in the link is my killin leviathan with some dudes online)

BOOM! haha I suck ;-;

As for those missions, just beat that griffin and you will unlock the rest. I see you have to take out the gemini Illecebra again. Man that mission is a bitch.

Alot of those were done online I see, I've been doing alot of mine without help....though with duo illebreca I'll need to get online for that, I also need to get online for that multiplayer acheivement.... ahhh well with time I suppose. on a side note do you have to do all forgotten pacts as well to get the gold achievement?
