For some odd reason I think that the power supply might be the thing acting up
Since I built my other machine I have used both of them for the same thing.
And mostly to multitask.
And from reading assassinator`s thread I will be poking through what they have for maybe a better case as well.

Anyways I am about 6 hours away from gathering the stuff and such

only advice buy a ssd samsung or crucial m4 64gb.
use it as a boot drive and main programs and install bigger stuff to external.
gives a nice boost.

With this being mostly an upgrade and not a new machine itself my os is on the old drives that came with the machine

they're fairly cheaper nowadays compared to before.. especially the low capacity ones (well duhh xD)
personally . id get atleast a 90GB for a boot drive, games on another HDD then a bigger HDD for storage
.

You got a price list of what you're paying for? That would help with suggestions.
In general, as mentioned, way overkill motherboard. Overkill PSU, unless you plan to use dual GPUs in the future.

hey syfe, you may want to rethink your cable management
its not just for clean looks, it also gives you better airflow ;)
