Feng was annoyed that his son couldn't even tough it out for three months at a software development company.

Unhappy with his son not finding a job, Feng decided to hire players in his son's favorite online games to hunt down Xiao Feng. It is unknown where or how Feng found the in-game assassins—every one of the players he hired were stronger and higher leveled than Xiao Feng. Feng's idea was that his son would get bored of playing games if he was killed every time he logged on, and that he would start putting more effort into getting a job.

Some interesting logic and certainly a novel solution, though it seems a little... potentially unreliable perhaps...
I suppose it prevents you from being drugged over a ban nonetheless.

I'm pretty sure that won't work. If the story is true and his son is a addict at the game, he would school the assassins. And if not then I think the assassins need to go to addiction camp's.

just because you're an addict with a game doesn't necessarily mean you're the best at it :)

i don't play MMO's but wouldnt PVP's be limited in a certain area or something ?
plus theres also the problem of finding your target

It won't.
It'll give him more motivation to kill the assasins and it'll do the complete opposite of what it was intended to do.
