So here I've already said goodbye to the old 2012 (that was so yesterday) and welcomed the heat of 2013, from the down under summers.
So what brings you here to 2013?
Fireworks here were like 3 mins away from where I live, so I decided to head down to the 8:30pm ones for lolz. There's two displays on the Brisbane river, one at 8:30pm and the other at midnight of course. Heaps of people in the park by the river when I went down - and I pity how long they must've been waiting for the ~5 minutes of fireworks.
I decided to stay up past midnight because I don't think I can sleep through loud bangs and cheers at midnight, but it seems that partying continued through to early morning (and I heard it fairly clearly through my windows that seem to block a heap load of sound).
Spending new year's alone in the middle of all the activity wasn't as nice as I thought it would be, but getting a day off work makes up for it :)
