Endless Paradigm

Hey guys!  I am working on a PSP theme.  Actually one that should be a good base for that style of theme if people want to mod it.  That's actually what I plan on it being - a theme template.

Anyway, it is going to be a slideshow with cool transitions between the pics.  And it is for the most part, finished.  The only thing I am still trying to figure out is on PSP boot, it takes a min or so before the slideshow begins. Once it begins, it is running full speed with no further delays.  It's just on boot up.  It will show the first wallpaper for like 50 seconds before beginning the slideshow.   I'm guessing it's because the PSP is loading all these wallpapers into memory before it begins the animations.  

So I'm tinkering with different image formats, compressions, ect to see if I can get this slideshow to begin faster once the PSP boots up.

Posting this thread just to see what the "EP old pros" can offer me for info.

Would assume using JPG would be better for faster loading at the loss of wallpaper quality. But you can only use PNG or BMP, right?

There is some delays in the opening_plugin.rco,... !>?!>?

Unless you've put in a delay before the main animation loop starts, I can't see why it'd take so long.

Hmmm...  I'll take another look at it.  If I can't fix it, I'll post the files.  :)
