After using the same old keyboard for 2 years I finally decided to go ahead and buy a new one. One that was mechanical as well. It just arrived today. A Das Keyboard Professional Model S with the Cherry Blue MX Switches. Loving it so far.

YayYayYay
Feel a lot better?
Are you still bottoming out the keys?  (I still do)
Yeah feels a lot better, also, bottoming out the keys?

Elaborate
Bottoming out keys = you press the key until you can't push it further.  The key actually actuates when you push it down half way (after the click you hear and feel).  I believe the idea is that you can get faster typing speeds by not actually bottoming out the keys.

To be honest I can't tell if a mechanical keyboard is really that much better.  The clicking noises are cool and all, but IDK if I'm actually typing any faster on it...
Oh ok, I don't really do that very often, only when I very first started using it. Other than that I try to type fast so I don't make sure to bottom out the keys.

But it will be a while to properly compare it with my old one since that one had very thin keys and the keyboard was a lot wider so this new one feels as if they're all cramped together.
Wider?  Interesting keyboard.  I believe these are standard sized keys.
Was the old one, one of those split / ergonomic keyboards?

I'm too used to bottoming out keys - been using mine for over a month and still do it.  But the clickity clack makes it all worth it :)
nah it wasn't an ergonomics keyboard, the point is that they keys were a lot thinner and more spread out and I used that for like 2 years.

and yes, I really love the clackity clack when typing. Madwin
I had need a new mouse,.... Proud
thought you were on about the instrument when i saw the title lol... was hoping to have some synth talk but seems i got the wrong impression
So, this keyboard, ey?  Looks pretty nice. Congrats :3
