Endless Paradigm

I've got some serious spoon happening to me and it's not getting sorted.
All right. Here goes. And By the way, it's gonna be like Tetris999's long donkey rants so if you can make it to the end, hooray!
I have a friend (whom I'll call "Au"), who has other friends. He fell out with one of them (whom I'll call "Matt") who was in my class. Au shouted at Matt for spreading bullcrap about him behind his back. This happened in the main open area of the school where there were loads of people and they saw him. They started laughing at him and taking the piss as he's considered weird and it's considered "Cheap Entertainment" by me. Now, Matt starts avoiding him, influenced by other people, and talks about it to the rest of my class. Since they know that I'm his friend too, they start taking the piss at me and referring to him as a stalker because he's been to Matt's house (because Matt told him the address. Au's gonna be curious, right?). I've told teachers and what was left of 'authority' at that school. Nothing's been done (apart from 300dB of full force shouting) and now, my class have been told to stay away from him to stop upsetting him. Sure enough, they go to him and Matt spreads bullcrap about how he was 'followed' home by Au and that he was never friends with him.
Wee're essentially stuck in a room with no windows or doors or mice holes and can't find a way out.

Still confused because I can't be bothered trying to decode every sentence (give artificial names perhaps?).  But basically, you're caught in a fight between two friends - that you wish to sort out?

Yeah, but indirectly. I'm having to take the brunt of all this as my class tease me about "Au" and nothing's been done
