I learned that the base of my middle finger will break out in tiny hives, when I apply scented lotion to my body... So, apparently, I'm allergic to it. But only a few hives appear on the palm of my hands, and nowhere else though, so I guess that's the bright side :/

ISO standard for paper sizes are based on the ratio 1:√2. The ratio means that folding the sheet of paper in half (length wise) gives you a sheet of paper half the size but in the same aspect ratio.
A0 is one square metre in the above ratio. The commonly used A4 size is 1/16th of A0, where the width and height are a quarter of A0's.
