Now that I think about it, there's probably a number of single episode OVAs that not many watch.
Perhaps some which were a bit difficult to obtain:
Happiness
Saint October

That's probably the only "obscure" anime I can think of.
When I really started getting into anime , I pretty much watched everything on Sensei's List
,and kept up with currently airing shows.

Saint October was a pain in the donkey for me to obtain and what's worse was at time not all the episodes were subbed. Still I've at least seen some people talk about it before that I didn't really consider it obscure.

I don't think it's that obscure but I wouldn't think that anyone else here anyway has watched the Salamander OVAs. Amusing if you've played the games but I only had the patience for one episode, maybe I should watch the rest.

I think out of all the ones I've listed, I enjoyed Mezzo D.S.A. the most, because I thought it was a good series. It depends if you like episodic, action anime about a girl who's an excellent gunman, whose skills are used basically as a hired hitman. Although... you would have to watch the Hentai OVA, Mezzo Forte, first.
As for the anime series, it's not Ecchi, or anything like that, so it's mostly more action focused, with a bit of humor. Also, it's only 12 episodes long. If I could compare to any other anime, Cowboy Bebop comes to mind, except with little to no dramatic scenes.
