Hey guys, I did a quick search and didn't find anything relating to this hear. But thought you guys n gals would be interested in this at least. It's a DIY ad-hoc network allowing you to file share anywhere off the grid so you're not likely to be tracked or what not. It's a very interesting project, of which I have just built using the available tutorials. All you p. much need is a wireless router that supports OpenWRT, a formatted memory stick and a portable power source. That's it!

When users join your open network, they'll get redirected to a simple page with chat and upload capabilities as well as a link to downloadable content. Stick it in a small case and take it anywhere.

My setup is with a TP-Link portable router and a Technet 5v battery

I left the Ethernet cable plugged in, it's only needed for the setup unless you don't have wireless.

Cool idea, but kinda pointless unless you are near a lot of people.
Granted, but that's the thing, you can take it along to a meetup or whatever and just turn it on and see what happens. The guy who started the project setup it up when he worked in a café and was surprised by the results.
Interesting - haven't had the time to read much, but IDK but doing it all through HTTP.
Typically used to set up a Windows folder share and copy stuff through that.  But I guess considering that Windows limits you to like 10 users for a share, it could be a limitation with more people (then again, if more than 10 people are trying to copy from your box, performance is going to be poo poo anyway).
