PlayStation has released on its official Twitter page that the PlayStation Vita will be receiving an update soon.
Software version 1.80 came out a few weeks ago which implimented specific PlayStation 1 titles playable on the PS Vita. With that in mind, Sony had previously stated that constant little updates were not on its prerogative for its newest handheld console, since the upcoming 1.81 software update teased for tonight will only improve software stability. Specifically, the tweet said:
"PS Vita system software update 1.81 will be released soon. It's a minor update that improves software stability."
Perhaps this update won't be required. Wee'll keep you posted as the update goes live.

EDIT: And it's now live!

Hopefully they'll patch the loophole so that devs will create more Vita games. ._.
