I can name four:
- PS Vita costs 2.5x times more than a PSP (E-1000).
- Not all PSP games work on PS Vita.
- PS Vita has only a handful of games, while the PSP has over 1500 titles.
- The PSP is more open, and you don't have to deal with the kind of crapp Sony is trying to pull (e.g. locking flash media to accounts).
Edit: Also, PS1 games. With POPS the compatibility on the PSP can't possibly be matched on the PS Vita.
Like I said, Im buying a vita to play vita games not the latter.
Only thing I used my psp for at the end of its life was the snes emulator
DSpider Wrote:What I *was* hoping for was PS2 compatibility on the PS Vita, because of its two analog nubs. The back could emulate L2 and R2 triggers. Because of the awesome selection of PS2 games it would've amped up the available titles on launch day. But it didn't happen. :( And it probably never will.
Nah I totally see PS2 compatibility in the future. The playstaion store on PS3 now has PS2 classics on it. Just a matter of time before they will be available on vita.
I hope.
