As far as I know south korean ppl are so into their looks. those who are ugly could be secluded from society. that's why a lot of ppl get plastic surgery there so they could be accepted by society. in addition they are also really racist to black and brown ppl.

I've read a lot of article about these things, and also some testimonials from ppl in local forum who went to south korea. you could also browse on youtube
