I know I'm kind of off-topic but why Hong Kong out of all places?^^;
I was wondering that myself.
Hong Kong's government exercises very little control over their people. They don't do much more than necessary to keep the peace.
To explain what I mean a little better. You can rent a building, get a business permit, and start your own shop/business all in the same day.
They have a thriving economy because of this.
If you look at a country like India. In the past it took them two weeks to approve the sale of KFC to their literally
starving people. They have a chocolatety economy and an impoverished country.
As the American government is placing more and more control on their people, their economy is failing, and their poverty level continues to rise.
I believe (and past and present results show) limited governmental control of the people is actually the key to a successful economy and "country".

Just sounds like anarchism to me.
Does Demonoid promote anarchism? Now that's a question I'd like to ask.

I didn't "Win the lotto" I am the only possible outcome of a series of genetic strains and random events. If I were not born to the parents that I have, in the place I have been born, I would not exist. At least not as the me I am today.
As far as anarchy, I believe there is order in chaos. I do believe a natural order would take place without laws.

They did a
movie on that. Doesn't work out so well. The phycos and murderers just kinda have a ball.
Don't they have a ball regardless of the law?

That seems to be the predominant belief, and whilst it may be true coming from today's society in the short term, in the long term it's unlikely to really work like that.
Actually, I would suspect society would end up being similar to what it is today, so an anarchist society would turn into another structure eventually.

That's a good thing but won't people take advantage of that and do something bad?

Oh... A movie eh?
Well that must totally be legit, then. They also did a movie about Abraham Lincoln being a vampire slayer. And they have a movie about a vampire boy and a human girl who fall in love. They also have lots of movies about zombies taking over the world.
I don't see any Vampire hunting human-zombie hybrids running around, but oh spoon a movie it must be true...
Are you also one of those people who shoots up the "law pigs" because GTA tells you to?
I believe most people would maintain order. A mentality kind of like this. If I kill him, his friends will kill me. So I won't kill him, and he or his friends won't kill me. Most people's self-preservation will convince them to maintain a state where they will not die or put themselves in danger of it.
There's got to be some sort of order around:
Too many laws are bad as it's just a dictatorship with no freedom.
People will look up to their government if they have some freedom to do what they want, like set up a buisness and vote. Most dictatorships have laws which restricts people to do what they want and so get opressed. Look at countries like Libya and Egypt. They are much better off now because they got rid of their leaders and had a fresh start. Getting rid of leaders that lead under dictatorship should happen but:
No laws are also bad as people will take advantage of that and will just go around making people's lives hell.
Anarchy would be common. Hong Kong could have a thriving economy
but there could be a huge mafia there that could be the source of most of the worlds drugs and bad stuff. Lawless countries may have lots of crime and may be as bad as countries with a dictatorship due to the fear of doing something slightly wrong will get you killed.
Either cancel out. Having some amount of law is good in a way.
Why not move to Sweden or Norway? At least their scenery is great.

Do you hate Democracy?
And you do realize those movies are just for entertainment of the normal people, like Friends.
