Endless Paradigm

Inspiration i need it, i got an android based phone and i absolutely hate! its ui.
I'm stuck for ideas as how to fix this. *application wise as well as inspiration wise*

Do not suggest Windows 7 mobile theme,
metro ui
Or iPhone theme...

Hmm spicing Android up is truly a tough thing >.< First of all you should look if your phone is compatible with the MIUI OS or rather ROM, while it may look like an "iPhone theme" it's really a custom OS inspired loosely by the iPhone and the biggest gain you get, it has actually a quite extensive theming system that will make it easier for you to change things around and edit the images of the OS. Next thing, I could probably find again for you, back when I had an Android phone I found a way to unpack applications such as the music application and replace the images in it which was a bit of a pain but worked. As for software, if you get MIUI installed the standard MIUI launcher is quite decent but GO Launcher EX isn't too bad aswell!

Though if you don't want to install something as a full custom ROM, just try out GoLauncher EX and MiLocker for a start, they should be in the market^^

Oh and what I should also say, if you install a custom OS such as MIUI there's always a chance of bricking like with the PSP and all but once you actually get a recovery mode installed on your phone such as AmonRA Recovery or Clockwork Mod you will have a recovery mode like on the PSP though you will void you warranty if you do all that >.< It is in most cases however possible to restore your phone to stock and then you can send the phone in should you ever need to use the warranty^^

The XDA-Developer forums are a good place to read things up: http://forum.xda-developers.com and while I'm not really experienced with Android I think I can answer the one or other question that may pop up so just ask^^

Ahh yeah I remember now you got the Note, must be awesome to have such a big screen^^ And I just googled quickly, it seems like there are some people who port MIUI over to it if you want to try it sometimes, it was in a Alpha state back in February but working so it can only get better

Also thanks I guess, I wasn't too happy with Android but atleast it seems I managed to do something okay-ish with it^^;

Flash a MIUI ROM if you want some eyecandy.

MIUI is pure eyecandy♥ and it's so easy to customize.

If you don't want to root your device try installing some of these apps.

I haven't customized in forever, I prefer the MIUI default theme.

Lunar-chan, what did you use for the launcher on that screenshot? Might be switching from GO Launcher to something else. :3

i isntal aokp ice cream sandwich today with tablet ui enabled. i think it looks purty owo
