...taking note that 'g' has two pronunciations, I presume you refer to the 'g' as in
game.
Typically, gi[consonant]__ uses 'g' sound, eg gig, gibber, giga, giddy, girl, etc, so I'd go with that.

It's not exactly in a working state (well, at least something I'd recommend using).
Currently there isn't much of a difference between the build here, so you may as well use that.
