You've probably seen Google bug you about their new privacy policy (and I bet you mostly ignored it).  In a nutshell, it allows them to collate all data gathered on you, from all their sites, together.

So, if you at least don't want Google correlating your search history with your GMail/Youtube etc, you can opt-out now: https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2012/02/ho...kes-effect
(if you don't sign into a Google account, you can opt-out here: http://www.google.com/history/optout )

Random 1hr privacy related speech if you're bored:

Somewhat related, Microsoft's video to try to take a stab at GMail.  Wouldn't consider MS more, but entertaining take on things:

Likewise. I think mines was always disabled (I don't remember turning it off o_o) since there was nothing to look at on the history page.
i cleared the history and froze it.

although looking at the youtube page the video has over 54% dislikes. LOL
Microsofts video all the way~

Cleared mine too.
Cleared mine. Thanks for the heads up Zinga.
Ok, cleared out any bad searches. Guess from now on I'll use incognito mode when searching iffy topics. This is kinda cool though. I for one really like personalized searches, so I don't have much of an issue with their saving of my search history.
I for one thought that video was entertaining.
