I bet they don't even uninstall proper either.
Most likely will have to use another tool to do the clean up again, lol
Yeah. They leave traces in the registry which makes le computer very slow. What registry cleaner would you suggest that won't mess it up like what CCleaner did. One time, CCleaner messed up my computer and it's a good thing I had restored what I did.
Work out what has not been cleaned then find a tool to do the clean up for it.
-edit-
What version of icon tweaker is it? Also did you get an error message when uninstalling it?

CCleaner found 1000+ errors but I don't trust that app anymore.
Then yesterday, AVG PC Tuneup found 2000+. I have used it but
since I did system restore, the registry went back to normal.
I'll find a good registry cleaner, free one, lol :)
Max Uninstaller can remove icon tweaker and clean up the reg entries that go with it.
It should be able to deal with the other tweak utilities also.

Okay! Thanks! I'll try that.
But how about the other tweak programs that I already have uninstalled?
They'll still remain in my registry, right? :(
How am I going to erase them?
Well you should be removing one at a time anyway to check if it caused the original issue.
If you use max uninstaller it should uninstall and clean the reg entries that go with it.
Then reboot and see if original issue still remains. if it does repeat again uninstalling the next tweak utility.
It may be easier in the long run just to back everything up that you want to keep and do a fresh OS install. most likely will save you lots of time.

Yeah. You're right. I fresh install will keep everything fine and alot more faster.
Thanks for the advices. I guess my problems are now solved. Thanks again!
remember to keep creating restore points after installing of apps

Okay! Got that :))
And you should forget tweak utilities, lol
