Love sleep? Me too. I think sleep is a pretty big topic to internet dwellers since using the internet can be done at any time, so usually sleep patterns are affected thusly. Anyhoo~

In my case, my sleep patterns are totally retarded, I cannot for the life of me sleep past 5 hours no matter what I do and it's very VERY hard to fall asleep. I know all of you guys aren't doctors or what not, but did any of you ever have a situation like this? What did you do to correct it?

Argh, I want to sleep so bad right now and can't, probably why I'm posting this and not doing anything else.

Procrastinating...even with sleeping, that's what the internet is for eh?

 Oh what I'd do for a good night's sleep...cept taking pills, shit forks you up man :/ 
I do have a pretty messed up sleeping schedule too. I tend to go to sleep around 3 am and wake up at noon. And then I go to work at 3 until 11PM.

There goes my entire day!!

DO physical exercise during the day , don't drink cofee and energy drinks past 1600 hours , and i do beleive you could achieve good sleep!

That's probably it, I'm not getting any exercise these days, I'll try to wear myself out and get some results...

Also I fudge up my sleeping schedules a lot. Right now it's 3AM, I stayed up watching anime one night/internets and...well with enough sleep this sort of pattern stays on for a couple of days until I work a night shift-morning shift. I am forced to wake up at 7 in the morning to go to work which resets my sleeping schedule....which is 1am sleep to 10am =3

So maybe that's one way of doing it...but I wouldn't recommend it
You've got to train yourself to switch off and back on at certain times and to do that you need to be at least exhausted to some extent as the others have suggested above. For getting up naturally you need a reasonable amount of sleep (few hours minimum) and an effective alarm that gets you up. Repeat and victory shall be yours.
Tried going to bed earlier?
If you wake up and it's all dark, you may be inclined to rest more.
Sometimes I dream I'm on the internet when I'm asleep.

when you have an orgasm your body releases hormones that make you sleepy. just a random unrelated fact...
when I have trouble falling asleep, I get an alarm clock to ring very soon thus interrupting my sleep. then on the next night I'll be very tired and I can fall asleep more easily.
