That title made me giggle, anyway
How is everyone holding up for the holidays? Myself? Well to be honest, I should be flipping out and peeing my pants over a math final in a few days, but you know what I'm doing? VIDEO GAEMS.
Well, I'm not all the guilty as I have gotten some hours of studying done, but I recently came upon corpse party on the psp and was it a thrill/emotional ride. It's strange, as I'm a somewhat cheerful guy, I am also a horror fanatic and it's probably only these titles that will grip my attention and make me oblivious to everything around me.
Anyway, one interesting thing to note is that this game has probably unsettled me more than any other horror game I've played (okay, MAYBE silent hill was as scary, I can't recall the moment of fear while playing the game), this includes the big name titles like dead space and what not, yes I've played those (seriously, none of the characters in dead space I give a spoon about, and I have a gun/weapon 99% of the way so there's REALLY no notion of fear). I think the whole unsettling factor is the reason of anime in general, as Japanese works (anime in particular) are centered around CUTE AN' CUDDWLY characters, having terrible things happen to them just makes the story terrifying/depressing.
Yeah, hands down it was the most emotionally upsetting and freaky game I've played to date, if you guys are looking for a game that tugs on your heartstrings and smashes your mind with rather horrifying revelations, pick this game up, it's a lot of fun.
I'm not sure if all my words are coherent, because it's 3:00 and I haven't slept yet.
G'night y'all
