Why is it that math profs/teachers always like to ask an example in different forms (and by different forms, I mean what the fudge I have never seen this spoon in the ever)? I know it's edgy, I know it's cool, I know it gets your students to apply math to any situation (or the generally specific questions that are wired exactly in numbers so that it somehow makes some relevance to life) but goddamn I do not like seeing those type of questions on a test. Examination should be fair in my opinion, straightforward and what not, I can see why people freak out over exams, it's because that what you learn can be totally nullified if you don't have some type of logical approach to questions.

Then again, that's hard, because when you're under such pressure (usually that's up to the person, some people get by just fine) and a time constraint (that doesn't help at all) you can't help but just screw up in some areas that you would've been otherwise a lot better off in with enough time.

Meh. Obviously, I'm just ranting about this because I had my final midterms before the end of the year, did pretty well, cept math, fudge math. I like it for it's straightforward approach and it's actually quite fun to do at times *le gasp* but man, sometimes those examination's are just fffffff.

Oh yeah, I became a lazy POS as soon as I hit my break, I better get back into the mood of things, skyrim is actually fun though :/

really fancy getting it..
Skyrim IS fun. I just got home from and am going back to playing.

@Topic, I never liked Math and it never liked me either.
Yea math is never any fun D: I stuck with it till my last years of highschool. My degree doesn't have much to do with it though thankfully.
I hate math.

Unfortunately it rears it's ugly head in all sciences, or anything that performs magic. :/

Cept biology, but who takes that for the actual subject, we know everyone who does wants to go to med school

Do you guys remember sequences and series? Turns out it's used in mathematical induction, a subset of computer science.

>:/
All those Taylor Series poo poo?  That was annoying as hell.
I don't really mind examples, as long as their not some long winded confusing garbage.

Do they really show you have better maths?  Probably not.
I never liked chem or maths, esp chem.
Meh, I always make the stupidest mistakes in maths :/
