So, in the past, wee had IE6 coming on top of Netscape and it generally "winning" the browser war of the 90s/early 2000 for a while.
Now with a new host of browsers, do you think there'll ever be a period where there's one clear winner?
Whenever the new one of
this comes out
well 've used firefox for the best part of four or five years now so i doubt whether I'll change now regardless of what's best
I keep switching back and forth between Chrome and Opera. So I can't really say which one is best.
I doubt there will be an end to browser wars. People seem to have personal preferences to these sorts of things.
So what do you propose will happen into the future?
From what I see, most browsers are converging on a standard set of functionalities really.
Are you suggesting that usage percentages will eventually just level out?

They will provide same features but different layout.

From what I've seen, there's actually not too much difference...

It's really not a big difference but for example IE has link bar much shorter than Firefox and the buttons places a bit differently. The others i never bothered to try recently. But all of them are making some tiny changes which makes them different from the other ones. In the end it comes to taste and memory optimization.
