Hello all Hi, I am trying to use CTFTool (latest, the one that have 639 folder in base), but i am having a bit of problem:

I have downloaded two themes from PSN, one free and one paid.
The first one, free, i can open and extract, but the paid one, i receive this message:
"not a ptf theme"

i tried using other ways, such as ptf2rco + Resurssiklunssi + RCOEdit, but nothing at all.

Don't know if it will help, but here are my PSP NFO:
PSP 2000 + 660 ME

Thanks in advance for any help.

EDIT: Did it. Special thanks to ZiNgA BuRgA! Here`s the tutorial, plain simple, but sometimes simple is the best option.

Make sure it's not DRM protected.  I've never used PSN at all, so can't give any suggestions on what to do, but maybe see if one of the DRM decypters can get rid of the protection.

Thanks for the reply!

I tried finding any DRM remover/decrypter, but not luck at all.. All i could find was Video, Music, Game DRM remover.. .

Any suggestions?

I was thinking with tinkering any of the flash* from the psp, since it appears "applying theme" when i use it, and the theme is still on after i remove the memstick and turn it on, but i have no idea of where to start and look
Themes are usually stored in flash1.  Hook it via USB if you suspect it's there (see vsh menu).

Thankya! did it...

i found your post about what custom_theme.dat was,

ZiNgA BuRgA Wrote: [ -> ]If I recall correctly, it's just a copy of the last PTF file you set your theme to.

And went to investigate. I found out that its size is smaller than any of my PTF themes, but not soo much. tried CTFTool in that one, and... that's it, the decrypted version of the theme!

Thank you for the assistance! i know that probably most no one will want to use images from a bought-up PTF, but.. i`ll make a tutorial anyway... later, because its time to sleep.

Thanks again!
