Sony Is Getting New XMB For PS Vita?
Posted by Leo on Tuesday, September 13 @ 11:20:43 PDT

The new activity based UI pictures of Sony show a completely new interface with a few of the old characteristics missing. However, the most important of them is the XMB, a facility that was replaced with the activity based UI, and people testing it said it is a major improvement for the Sony products PS Vita and PS3.

It is still uncertain when this feature will be introduced. While the specialists expect it to be a part of the new update of PS3 that will be released soon, other people say that this facility will be introduced with the Vita portable device.

The XMB was a useful facility that was liked by the users of Sony devices, including TV’s and DVD players. However, it seems like the new characteristic replacing the XMB is designed mostly to suit the needs of the console players. Wee can hardly wait for the activity based UI to be released.

Idiots. The XMB was awesome. This looks stupid.
This looks far worse than the stupid bubbles on the Vita, way to go Sony you fudgeed up already, and I know I won't be waiting for this, it's the UGLIEST THING IVE EVER SEEN!
I disagree, the bubbles were butt ugly, compared to this, this looks smexy.

The bubbles make the psvita look cheap, and crappy.

Anyways, If you look at the photo it seems like a TV menu and not a PS3 or Vita menu.
Didn't wee see Vita's XMB already!?
I am really getting tired of PSPGweber spreading news with no factual basis. Please, use your common sense guys. There are a few things wrong with this:
  • It is a step DOWN from the LiveArea UI. Despite what you all think about it, it's perfect for the PS Vita and can fit more icons than this.
  • If this is the new PS Vita UI, why is it shown on a TV, instead of a PS Vita? Remember that the PS Vita does not have TV output.
  • It wouldn't make sense to use this on the PS3 either. It is significantly less functional than the current XMB and would only cause confusion.
  • There's a TV icon. Why would there need to be a TV icon on the PS Vita or even the PS3?
  • BRAVIA TVs have had XMB UIs before. This will very likely only be used on BRAVIA TVs.

Now that that's out of the way, I want to just point out for the record that I really love the PS Vita UI. It's functional, it's likeable, and it's fun to use and to look at.

It's clearly a guy trying to advertise his site to get more people since PSPGweber is a poo poo site.
XMBs are cool, that bubble design is lame ass.

and who cares if he trying to advert his site, hes copying basically full acticles from the site.

as long as he's not a sPa/\/\ bot.

and what's with the random newer people?
I'm not clicking on you're chocolatety site(wrong source)
This looks lame. The bubbles look like drunken clip art. Also, don't whore your site if you're gonna post poo poo like this.
