To be honest most people who start out developing a skill will always have utter spoon for their first works (relative to the standards of others). It improves with time though, with the fallacy of people calling most of their works good and "keep it up!" type of posts, just for the merit of support the posts make. For me, I was the lucky one to have people swooning over my work like it was the totally rad stuff of all times and I got LOADS better, spending HOURS of my time on photoshop work.
Moral of this story, is to keep up the work and that guys, even the most bullchocolate of supportive comments can actually go a long way in keeping someone dedicated to fiddling around with things.
Unfortunately I for one, have given up on graphics almost entirely though for different reasons
Lay off the brushes, and try to experiment more with the colors. It looks good, keep up the good work :)
