So, from the start, i got a 32 gb memory stick for my psp, and i decide to populate it with the iso's that i always wanted (like patapon 3, gta lcs, etc.) I had them all at one point on my old 4gb, but they can all fit at one time on my 32gb. So i spend 4-5 days configuring stuff, like instaling timemachine, doing the iso poo poo, getting rompacks, and whatnot, so after i finished all up, im going crazy with these iso's, and i beat castlevania dracula x chronicles (AGAIN, because that game has some kind of fetish for corrupting savedata, and this is the 3rd time that ive 100%ed that game now) And i try to start the built in SOTN game, but it doesn't start! the psp is like "ERRAWR (blahblahblah)" And of course, im like "Huh?" so i try it all, disabling plugins, changing clockspeeds, changing iso drivers, turning off custom themes, formating the memory stick, beating my head against the wall, ENABLING plugins, etc, nothing works, so i decide that its ME's fault, so i switch to PRO, to try and see if the inferno driver has something to say about the psp's ignorance, so i start the game up, everything is going swimmingly until i press start, and Whatdoyaknow!? the savedata is corrupted, now keep in mind that i had just, about 5 minutes ago, beaten the game. so im like "kung FFFFUUUUUUU!!! NO!!!" and i try to fix the data with magicsave, a couple of lost hair folecules later, i give up, so i just want to get back to ME and report the error and go about my buissiness, so i put in my magic memory stick and im kindly greeted by a flashing orange led, indicating a connection error! Perfect! so i clean the pins of the psp: nothin, clean the memory stick: nothin, i make maual adjustments to the pins anf memory stick: nothin, so im like Erk and the psp is like >:D so i hardwire the memory stick to the psp, totally bypassing ANY chance of a connection problem, and guess what? BLINKING ORANGE LIGHT! YAY! So, then, since i still had PRO loaded up, i decided, "fudge the magic memory stick, ill make another one later." and i load up an updater for 6.39 ME-8, and the power to the house goes out! And since i dislike using my pandora battery to power my psp, im only using the ac adapter, so i put in the battery and turn it back on, and im back on ofw, because the PRO hen was lost when it shut off. so im like Heyyou and try to run the updater in ofw but its not signed, so when i go back to the vsh, i realise that i installed the PRO hen to my magic memory stick... After a 2 hour long session of cussing, i fall asleep. The psp Really didnt want me to play sotn, and im still on ofw :<
It just seems like you've gone and done things far more complex than you would need to... perhaps the game within the game not working was just that ISO?

Are you using a high-quality-ish memory stick, maybe; I've heard stories about cheap third-party ones giving up the ghost for no apparent reason.
Well, i didnt mention it, but at first i tried a european iso, and it didnt work, so i tried a untouched korean one, ita lso didnt work, and my memory stick is made by sony, so im not to worried about quality. But ALAS!  a happy ending has arisen. SOTN only costs $10 in the ps store, so i just played it for a while on my ps3.
