I can live with the permanent deduction, but I wonder why it happened?

Due to bugs in the forum software, your post count sometimes goes out of sync with the real # posts you have when certain actions are done (such as thread deletion).  Usually it's for the higher number.  I did a recount on everyone so they should be more accurate, at least for now.
