The problem with your statement is that they were not made for the same purpose.
It's right but the Wii U seems to achieve the same purpose the NGP has, though I have to admit I didn't notice the Wii U consolethis is just the controller
though even the console seems pretty small if there would have been a portable power source for it I must admit it would rule over NGP.

you can't take the wii u controllers miles away from the console, it will lose connection with it, unlike in PSV, after you got home and played a ps3 game in it, you can continue it in your ps3 in full HD, then after you play it at home then want to go outside, you can transfer the save then play the same game from ps3 outside, lol
and no its not look like those, PSV looks more sexy than those
