Lol!  All of them fighting to death to meet some man (who they have never even met) does seem like the overall plot XD
Also they involve girls (or dolls) with magical power, although this isn't specifically the case with Sekirei (one of them is a guy, another one doesn't know his/her gender), most of them just are.  The powers a "focused" (eg elemental") and unique for each of the characters.  Action scenes with fancy effects, all of them seem to have some ability to fly and some others.  And they all seem to have some "big boss" guy spearheading all the competition.  Akikan and Sekirei involve some teaming/factioning, but Mai-HiME and Rozen Maiden is mostly a free-for-all (although they had initial cooperation).  There's some "love" involved, although that's common across shows which feature major female characters; and all seem to involve a harem.
That's probably main things I see common across all of them, although I'd personally say the execution is somewhat a bit different between them.
This is really a vague plot element IMO.  Survival of the fittest exists in many places, whether it's simply a tournament the main character has to win or whatnot.
How many shows involve some drug/crime gang doing something evil and being hunted down by police/investigators again?
I can't believe I missed that squee. but Mai-HiME isn't really harem though.

Eh, in Akikan they're just trying to see which can is the most effective to produce and in Sekirei, the last Sekirei gets to go to heaven with their master or something I can't really remember.
All the guys are pussies and all the women do the fighting and shiz. : |

Did I get it right? ^^
Yes there's that, but that wasn't it.

You're probably right.  I was only judging from what I've seen in Mai-HiME and Rozen Maiden.  I haven't watched Sekirei or Akikan, yet. Emptyone

Guy in Akikan isn't really a pussy.  Sure, the girls still did the fighting.

Main Character Male

Obtains Female Harem of jsut surrounded by them and they must do battle(with each other)

Lol, you obviously haven't seen Mai-Hime then.  The main character is female, and it's not a harem either (most of the girls like different people).

And out of the things listed, that's the only good one.
Akikan and Sekirei are more comedy focused, whereas the other two are somewhat more serious (though there's a lot of silly things which go on in Rozen Maiden, so one may argue that is has a fair bit of comedy focus too).  So yeah, Mai-HiME would be more your style.

Also note that the guy behind Akikan and Sekirei is some dofus whacko, which I find entertaining.

Well, of the anime I've mentioned, they're all in the tournament style. But you knew that right?
