Already installed a audio driver but gives me no sound. It seems to play music. Already tried using other headset and speakers but non worked. It is not in mute.
I'm thinking the problem is in the hardware, or am i missing something?
Start » Run » compmgmt.msc » Device Manager » Sound
See what's in there.
Turn up volume, connect stuff to right ports etc, standard stuff.

Wrong driver?
Follow Zingas instruction and tell us what you get under Sound. Uninstall the driver to make sure it's not listing the incorrect device.
What OS are you on and what driver did you install?

Using IBM Lenovo ThinkCenter a51 8129
Windows XP SP3
SoundMax
Uninstall any drivers you have - Driver - Uninstall driver - for all audio-related hardware, reboot, then install the following:
http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...z70usa.exe
Once it's installed, reboot again and if you still get Found New Hardware windows, an automatic search should find the audio drivers you've just installed.
Good Luck!

The driver you gave me and the driver i have is the same. I have also tried reinstalling that driver but it didn't work.
I asked my sister on what she have done on this pc and she said she tried installing realtek ac97 audio codec but she says every time she instals it she said she always get bsod.
Well from the screen cap you done it suggests there should be no issue.. and there's no indication there's a general issue with it.
Did it suddenly stop working?
did you try running the sound maneger?
my old XP computer would not play without it running...
