- Usage of the word "app", a very apple term
- "Start Screen"
- Forced tiles, where's my desktop
- Internet-connection-reliant content
- No control
This had better be a tablet-exclusive OS, I swear.

Im hoping so, but, at the same time, the current UI doesn't exactly lend itself well to touchscreens, so a change might be in order

- Everyone uses it now though :P
- Sounds good, eh?
- In the Desktop screen, notice the desktop tile?

oh it looks nice but i don't like it x)
It's too simplistic, and the hiding of so many options will make it take longer to do more stuff that power users use.
Not to mention i don't like how desktop operating systems are becoming as simplistic as mobile ones.

Reads like you're talking about Google Chrome.
You got to look at it another way, Windows 8 is Windows 7 with a new starting UI that is also tablet friendly. Windows 7 isn't losing anything with this upgrade.
As a slate OS, if MS get this out quick enough, while making sure it runs very well, they will be making iOS and Android seem pretty damn hollow.
