well....it would be extrememly difficult, if it all possible to do, and would at best be no better than the provided programs, likely worse due to the added overheads....so its not going to be happen is what he means.

You can play flv,3gp,MKV,pmp,mp4 with Pmplayer-advance video player...

You can't play avi on PSP because of the PSP hardware.... not software.
You could have a software based codec, it would just suck on the PSP's spec
