I've been so damn fudgeing lazy these few weeks I can't believe I finally managed to post this. I've been wanting to update my PSP for a while now but when I run the PRO-B installer it says "this program does not support your firmware". I tried to intall the 6.20 OFW first and then update but that also said something like your psp version is already 99.99 !!! can sb tell what I should do ?
you need to toggle f0 usb access, and theres a version.txt somewhere i forget in there which you can change the spoofed version down to normal. Supposedly, just disabling use fake version.txt fixes this, but it didnt for me
on gen if version.txt is disabled in recovery menu it will say it can't update because its version 9.99
you need to enable the version.txt and replace it with a version.txt from a lower firmware
steps:
set your usb device to flash 0
navigate to ms0:vsh/etc
and replace the version.txt with this one: [
attachment=5059]
go into the recovery menu and make sure use version.txt is enabled.
from there update to 6.20 OFW then run the PRO - B firmware that you are trying to run.
Thanks so much it worked.

I'm on 6.20 PRO-B now.

hmm lots of new themes I want to try out.
