there is no popsloader for 6.38ME-2 yet. If the game is crashing and giving you a black screen then you'll need to remake it yourself as it was probably compiled with a specific pops like 3.71.prx for example.

I have the iso and I have made multiple attempts to build it. All have failed equally. Without using the pops, just using 6.38 ME-2 the game fails to run for some reason I just get an endless black screen until I select quit from the home menu

as what robert said, you may use special game ids to run in newer pops versions (the 6.38 pops is different from 5.00 i guees)
by the way ive only run perfectly BoFIV in 3.52 pops, some says recreate the eboot using Icetea psx-psp converter to be able to work in it
and also some tested popsloader for 5.50 in 6.20PRO and it works though, maybe you can try if it runs in 6.38me-2

so far i havnt had a problem with the 6.38ME pops. All my ps1 games work fine except for MGS, but that's acceptable as its a dual disc eboot made especially to run with 3.71 pops.
