Today after trying to decipher the instructions for my English homework and giving up ( I sent the teacher an e-mail, hopefully he replies), I found some junk e-mails in my super secret hidden e-mail account.

First
Some of them were from DoNotReply@trionworlds.com about my rift account that I no longer care about.

Second
Another was from the University of Michigan about how I didn't get accepted. I also got an e-mail from mozilla support telling me to please confirm my e-mail address... (yawn) I also have e-mail from geico telling me about my car insurance I don't own (double you tee eff?! how did you get this e-mail >.>)

Finally!
I found an e-mail about my registration from sakurahana (sakura flower? Chery Blossom flower?) I don't know what the fudge a sakurahana is but apparently I signed up for it.

and also
Riot wants to let me know about my RP purchases

Lastly
Some spammer is trying to sell me spy cams

Today is pretty boring shit imo :/
this is a truly epic story
You didn't get an email about inheriting 1 billion USD from a Libyan prince? Bummer...

not yet
luckily my super secret e-mail is still semi-super secret
Speaking of "secret email addresses", I do sometimes wonder how some spammers get them.
I've got a university mail address which I've used *nowhere* and only have told some (IRL) friends about.  And I've received some sPa/\/\ in there.  IDK whether friends' contact lists got bombed, or some internal leak of information but I got some.  Unlikely to be guessed information (it's a student ID).
Well my e-mail is from my own registered sub-domain
granted I have used it on a few sites, but who knows.

Maybe your school is selling out to 3rd party businesses? Maybe the sites are uses are also selling information to 3rd parties
