According to a short post on the site, the services were taken down after an investigation revealed a deeper "intrusion" than expected at first. This could be part of Sony's plans to beef up security for the PlayStation Notwork, but this message seems to indicate that something more serious is going on.

It could be that PC game players may have something to worry about, but wee hope that is not the case. Wee will have more on this story as it develops.

So the hack was not just PSN?

Looks like Sony got gang banged from all sides.

Why is everybody so pleased the company that provided their consoles, designed them, built them is getting shafted by hackers?

They don't have to do any of it. All people do is complain.

The statement could be that the way sony is going about things isn't the right approach.  To bad wee all paid like $600 for our console and ind the end, sony still owns it.

Only if they weren't so worried about suing good people that are just trying to bring back things they took away, and more worried about how they store customers data and their chocolatety server security maybe this all wouldn't of happened.

And to think Sony almost had it all going after all that trouble.

Just WOW. 12,700 CC numbers from a 2nd sever. This is getting closer to bankrupting Sony. I sure hope it doesn't, Sony doesn't deserve this.
