The scener Yoti has released a new version of the homebrew PSPident , a homebrew capable of detecting the model of motherboard you PSP , and in this new version is able to detect the G-eneretion , ie, capable to tell us if our PSP is 2g , 3g , 4g etc.
This homebrew is very important to decide now to install a CFW / LCFW or make a Hellcat to our PSP, because if they are above TA88v2 , wee can only run HENS / LCFW s make certain downgrade's.
Description:
Identify your PSP's hardware with jas0n juk & Yoti's PSPident. Use this reference guide to figure out what's what.

Thanks -St0rMaGe- for this news...i like this homebrew it's so usefull
thanks yoti
Very cool tool, now PSP Module checker must be updated ;D
Awesome !! So can this be signed ?
EDIT: OK, I signed it, and it did run on 6.20 OFW, but it gave an error when trying to load one of the included .prx modules. It would only tell the kernel version, which is obvious without having to launch this - so I won't bother posting the version that I signed.
If anyone can get this signed and fully working, please do post it here !

No it needs kernel

Yeah, I updated my above post. (I tried signing it myself - using fkrone's Windows tool)
The result was failure..
Maybe TN or coldbird will sign this for the general public.
This tool would be priceless for inquiring minds on OFW.
This is not signed O_o,.. yah this really needs to be signed!
i think there is a light version wich is signed though,..
