Yeah, so I found out about this yesterday. LOL at comments on the Playstation blog. Also double you tee eff is an external intrusion?
Anyway, I don't care about it being down. I don't play online with the PS3 and I got all the DLC I wanted before it went down.

Can only speculate really.  Maybe they got hacked, or maybe they're trying to spread FUD - really, can't say.
I'm doubting a DDoS attack (typically the attacks anon does) because that basically does what the attack tries to achieve (ie, Sony wouldn't purposely deny service against an attack which tries to make one deny service).
