Well well, Neur0n is back in the action with his cfw's.
As he has been releasing cfw's for PSP SLIM's



BUT Now one for the PSP PHAT's
He released his cfw on his twitter page, here see for your selves...

-- What is this?--
This is CFW work on PSP1000 and PSP2000.

The degree of stability is still unknown.
Please test it on your own and refer to different people's test reports.

THIS INSTALLER IS TESTED ONLY ON 5.00M33.

--How to Install--
First, you need to install CFW or HEN in your PSP.

1. copy UPDATE folder at ms0:/PSP/GAME/.
2. Put 6.38 official update at ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/638.PBP .
3. Run installer from xmb.

Hold R trigger and turn on the psp, you can enter recovery menu.
Hold Home button and turn on the psp, you can Boot OFW.

This CFW is based Dark_AleX's 5.00M33.
And usbdev.prx is his own.

A friend of mine was just asking me about ME cfw yesterday, and I told here it was not possible for her, since she owns a PSP 1000.    I will have to inform her of this good news.

If a POPS loader is ever released for this, I am going to update my PSP 2001 from m33.

Hmmm why not update to 5.50 GEN d-3 on your PSP 2000....

It supports POPS/IRSHELL

The only thing it doesn't is leda.....

But no one really uses 1.50 homebrew anymore....

And I'm pretty sure you can somehow use the Inferno diver on m33/ or GEN   :)

I have to find out...

Anything 5.50 GEN does, 5.00 M33 does better.   POPS, Ir Shell, and LEDA all work on m33.
Plus on m33 you get the "ms access speed up" option, making game backups play much smoother..    So I don't think I would gain anything from updating to 5.50     :/

I have been thinking about updating my PSP 2000 to either PRO or ME cfw.
Just for fun, I will list the pros of each cfw, as I see them:

6.20 PRO-Before Perm:
- Then my PSP 2000 and PSP Go! would be on the same fw version, making theme development much easier for me.  
- CXMB and most plugins are now working with this cfw
- Inferno ISO Driver

6.38 ME:
- Of course, it is based of the most recent $ONY firmware revision - I haven't had a cfw that was based off the current ofw on my PSP since the DAX days..
- Qriocity is working on it ?

Both:
- are currently being developed for by the scene as a whole.  M33 and GEN are both old hat by now...

As far as POPS, I guess I could actually live without it..  
The reason that I personally am so attached to POPS Loader is because 3.72 POPS is needed for Mortal Kombat Trilogy to play perfect.  

Of course, since my PSP 2001 is has a fully hackable mobo, I could use Nand Manager to keep dumps of all 3 cfw versions on my memory stick, and switch through them as I please.

I guess I will have to think about it a bit more.    :p

@Mr. Shizzy  yea I know what you mean..... But the only thing that I want on m33 is PSN..... you can't download things from the store and PSN online play doesn't work...

Right now I am on 6.20 PRO-B-4

Mr. Shizzy I have a PSP 1000 as you know, lol and 6.35 PRO is freakin fast. Faster then the 5.00m33 speed up mem stick thingy.
