Thanks!
Ha, wel i used a copy of my custom icon's then for shadow i turned hue and saturation up/down so i got all color gone and only have a white icon then added a white glow of 3 you could do a gausian blur then you have to try it out.(alpha channel white)
Glow used a copy of my icon then did the hue saturation trick again but opisite so i got a black icon.. now you have a black icon with black background in layer 2.
add a white glow of 18 to the black icon.*again you could try a gausion blur)
Now go to channels tab en copy 1 of the rgb channels and name it Alpha 1
Now go back to layer's tab and just color the whole picture white..
So now you have a white picture with in the alpha channel the glow icon.
Then select the alpha channel and choose transform and lock aspect ratio and rezise 50%
Now you have to try your glow icon and probebly go back into photoshop to reposition the icon..
NOTE making these icon's could be done some other way but this is how i did it..

Any question 's let me know..
Check out my Foster's home for Imaginary Friends theme and you can see my glow and shadow icon's, its white background so its not really good to see glow's but i have to make a new preview on youtube with dark background..
I positioned the shadow icon's in the middle behind the icon's so the shadow is all arround the icon instead off right below..
