Hey guys, I just want to know your thoughts on this:
http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-mods-media-18...11786.html

(sorry for linking to QJ lol), it's about the seventh and eighth XMB icons that have been created, but the vsh cannot use.

ok as you see there is a 7th menu icon nothin to new excpet for the fact i change the icon by adding the icon with in rco edit and adding a nother menu thanks to the realease of the source code it showed me how to add it ..how ever it's now a matter of getting the vshmain to use that as an icon and a menu i duno who would knwo best but i am thinking that a few like dark alex or the rest could prol;by shed more light in on it I know there a ways i just duno how the hell it works so any takers?

This was done in a moded ver of rcoeditor to make it work,

as you can see there is now list_tv so wee jsut need to get vshmain to use it..

OK!!! rember how the psp would frezze when you would go pass 7 in the hex edit well when you add the menu it allows you to go more her is eight and i could assume the number are countless so here is 8!! top menu icons now just have to find a way to make the vsh see them and use them ....i think this is on it's way to our own home brew menus just matter of desining the vsh to deal with it......
-= Double Post =-
and i ment the person who made the xmbic prog casue they aparently know about the vsh main more

That was the first post but without its graphics

To be honest, XMBIC just "hex edits" the vshmain.prx, rather than actually insert/resize the PRX, like RCO Editor does to RCOs.  So I'm doubting that XMBIC would be close to being able to add new actions to vshmain.prx (I've never fiddled with it myself much, so I don't know exactly what vshmain requires).  I assume the only way would be either through a memory patch like OE's, or decompiling vshmain.prx - either case, it usually won't be simply just hex editing...

That's my guess anyways - reverse engineering is out of my league.
Hmm ok, seems unlikely to happen soon then. Do you know who made XMBIC?

Well this cuestion is for Matchung ,cause he found Xmbic. But like zinga said there will be hard to edit the vshmain.prx.
maybe in new updates for the psp and ps3
the psp will be a UMD driver for the PS3(USB)
so wee can
play game(PSP)
watch movies/Music UMD
using the ps3 as a video out and controller
so wee can have a big screen to look ad when play/watching
I think that Sony may have preemptively added a few more icons because of the release of Home in a few months. They're probably just making it easier for themselves.
