seems like its broke, not bricked. I imagine warrantly will no longer apply to it, so i guess a repair will cost. However, you can claim it died on you as mentioned above (i did this), but mine was under warranty so i got a free replacement.
If you genuinely werent messing with it, it isn't bricked its broke. But since if you were hanging round EP, i guess you had tried something mentioned here and bricked it (i know google search doesn't put ep at the top when you searched 'bricked psp')
everybody should understand, there is no way to fix a PSP 30XX bricked

was it charged? this is confusing...
try resetting flash1. holding SELECT+START+TRIANGLE+SQUARE at the same time while booting
if it was flash1 then he would be getting a blue screen of death nothing more

How did you brick it? also did you try the thing I told u? take your memory stick out and turn on your psp again...

If it's actually truly bricked, you can't do anything about it.
PSP3001 can't Pandora.
The reason why I'm telling him to take out his memory stick and turn psp off and back on.......
is because some unsupported plugins will give you a black screen and you might think you have a brick.... this is if you are on 6.20 tn-d cfw......
