IMPORTANT: YOU NEED A PSP TO DO THE PATCHING PROCESS!!

How to patch:

1- Download THIS package.
2- Extract all the files in a new folder.
3- Go to EXTRA folder inside th package and unzip the dnas_decrypter (you should get a new folder with the same name).
4- Put the FOLDER, I repeat, FOLDER in your PSP/GAME.
5- Open your BBS FM iso file and extract BBS0/1/2/3.dat.
6- Place BBS0.dat in the same folder as the exe from the patch package.
7- Place BBS1/2/3 you extracted from your ISO to your Memory stick root.
//WARNING! You need at least a 2Gb stick to do this. Make sure you have at least 1,5 free Gb before proceeding to step 8.//
8- Run the program from your PSP. The program doesn't display anything while decrypting the files, but the Memory Stick led should be blinking. It will return to the XMB after finishing.
9- Extract the new files from your Memory Stick root to the patching folder, they should be named exactly the same as the original files but with a "_DEC" added.
10- Remove the "_DEC" from their names and then double-click on the exe file. Wait for the program to patch the files, it will take a little while. Your folder should look like this in this step: http://alturl.com/f9otz
11- After the patching the files will be already translated, just open your BBS FM iso again and replace the files by the ones you patched.
//If you are on 5.50 Prome or bellow, you have to first patch your ISO with Prometheus patch before doing step 12.//
12- Before repacking the ISO, go to EXTRA folder in the patching package and take the "EBOOT.OLD" there and replace it with the one in your ISO. Why? Well, without that nothing would work.
13- Have fun.

How to use the auto-patcher: (with Prometheus v.5 included)

1. Download the auto-patcher here: Click me to download!
2. Extract the file.
3. Run the file named "Kingdom Hearts BBS Final Mix.exe".
4. Click on the "1) Check MD5" button, then locate and choose the untouched ISO of KHBBS FM.
5. When your ISO passed the MD5 check (it means it's untouched), click on the second option named "2) Apply Ripkit".
6. After the patching is done, you can now transfer it to your memory stick and play

I couldn't imagine what you'd do with the game if you didn't have a PSP >_>
Anyway, I'll skip this as the normal version of the game wasn't that fun for me and I don't think the final mix version would make it anymore enjoyable for me.

I'm sure they went through a lot of trouble to translate it but wouldn't have been easier just to swap the English voices with Japanese from the JPN version ? Or are the USA/EUR different ?

The -Final Mix- has english audio only with japanese subtitles/text. Wee could use the audio from the original japanese Birth by Sleep release, but there would be a chance that wee miss the new audio in some newer parts of the game, leaving it untouched » english.

Or issues like dual-audio anime where sometimes the English dub is completely off.
