Today, Somy announced that their R&D team have managed to make some ground breaking discoveries.
By replacing the refrigerative cooling system of the MGD with an hadron-thiosulphate solidification cooling system, Somy have increased the cooling capabilities of the device. Originally stated at -185°C, with this new improvement, the MGD will now be able to reach temperatures as low as -187°C. Somy does mention that this new system has a slight detrimental effect on battery life, but said that it was "negligible". All other aspects of the device remain unaffected, Somy told us.
Somy shares closed up 50% higher than today's open, reflecting the positive news. Many consumers are delighted to hear about this development and are waiting in anticipation for the release of this powerful device.
