I think it might be that ctftool isn't registering the files correctly. Do your gim files look like this?:
If not maybe deleting ctftool and re-running might register them correctly? patpat should know what's wrong... hopefully he sees this thread.
I have the same problem but with my rco files, it's not a reallly big deal but it would be nice to automatically open them by double clicking.
Edit:
It seems the xml starts at 2AE68? Problem is I don't know where it ends..
Yes they look like this , and also i have xp , its not a big deal anyway.
Plus i don't think wee could extract any xml of this file like this.
by the way now that i got a Go,.. Page name="page_display_config_pi_blending_mode" >> is "Flicker reduction"
OEPS,. the images are with a weird resolution,. like 71x71padded 80x71non-padded and i am trying to use rcoedit to convert the extracted gim,. load into rcoedit extract>>recolor>>load into rcoedit>>extract all and load the re-colored giminto hexworkshop again ;p
PRXes won't have similar structures to RCOs, at least, it's highly unlikely, so you probably won't be able to get some XML out of it.
The clock animation is amazing,.
have you seen that?
there is a reflecting plane at the bottom of the screen,. sigh wish this could be done in a rco,. ;p
trying to replace/recolor images will be possible?
Sony generally puts complex animations and such in a PRX (code) so you probably can't do much from an RCO.
There prob is no tool to directly recolor a gim image,.?
would be nice to edit some of the image's in the prx ;)
i have tried to add an animation in the slide rco,. but the 2 pages in the rco are not the clock plane,.. the second plane is blank transfer plane from xmb>>to clock plane,.. you will see an image for 1 second there,. hehe
If you're careful, you can replace the image. It has to be either the same size (in terms of filesize) or smaller so that it doesn't change the filesize of the PRX file.
