I saw this video in class today. How fucked up is this!? I would have loved to be a scientist during this period, right before ethics was so strictly enforced in studies. This kind of weird stuff is what wee need to be studying. It is so weird, and yet wee are afraid to approach it from a scientific aspect due to morals? Seems awfully limiting, in my opinion...

Wee need to do more studies like that. I think that is the next step for our progression in science and understanding. So many interesting books are written about "altered state of consciousness". Though some might say unethical, if you looked at it from a purely speciesist point of view, from a purely objective point of view (with the objective being to understand as much as possible, regardless of ethics), I wonder what else wee could learn... There are a lot of videos like this that I was never really that aware of. Fascinating...
I get your point, but cats are cute and awesome.
but testing as a whole is really cruel unless it was consensual. (humans only)

Not like the cat had a choice :<
=_=

LSD >>> not for feline consumption.

Catnip >>> for feline consumption.
hmm see im not so sure about these sort of things. As lunar said its not fair on the animal etc i mean its just scientists going "hurr i wonder what this does when given to this cat"

When wee have the power to just test spoon on things because wee can even with a just cause is a little worrying.

However your point still stands and its interesting, why let morals get in the way when wee could be learning and advancing in some field?
that's fudged! If its also wrong Heyyou and useless imo Erk

What field would this be? A study of altered states of consciousness - in Cats?
That's like a super overdose.

well yea for this example with the cats it seems stupid and probably not helpful in anyway.

Im mean for other things like human cloning or something.

If there's a possibility of something going wrong, then because wee have this kind of freedom it'll have to be worth their while.

I'm sure if there was the need wee could find plenty of people who feel like they would be better off dead anyway.
