To answer the question, no. I've not heard of Pokemon Quartz before... and I hope I never have to play it, Quartz's approach to english is like eating broken glass.
Edit: It happened again. Doublepostitis.

Well, check out my dubs in the meantime, I guess.
Spoiler for "What is a Nuzlocke Run?":
A Nuzlocke Run is a word to describe a game of pokemon, played to restrictive and difficult rules. The rules enforced vary slightly from player to player, but there are a few core tenets:
1) If a pokemon faints, it's "dead". It must be released or otherwise made unavailable.
2) You may catch only the first pokemon encountered in any given route. (Trainer pokemon do not count) If you kill it, have no pokeballs, or pass through while in tutorial mode, tough luck.
For this run, I will adhere to the above rules, as well as following conditions:
3) Items may be purchased and used (except revive)
4) No "save and reload".
5) No limit on pokemon gifted to me by NPCs.
I may adhere to other rules not listed, because I can't think of them right now.

Is this like trolling yourself?

The battle starts off good.  Grumpig Shock Waves Skarmory to death.  Dusclops and Wailord team up to destroy Cradily.  Blaziken's Brick Break easily destroys Aggron.

Then Metagross showed up.

One quick Blaze Kick is all I needed to destroy that monster, and with 90% accuracy, I figured the odds were in my favor.

I WAS WRONG

Blaze Kick missed, and Metagross's Earthquake (with critical hit) killed Blaziken.

Metagross then proceeded to slaughter my ENTIRE TEAM.

My challenge has ended.......in failure.......
I know that feel, bro.

SURE SEEMS LIKE IT!
I suppose that's one way of putting it lol. Actually I've never heard of the term but I think they're trying to challenge themselves because from what I've play of pokemon, the story mode is piss easy.
More like a challenge to make things interesting, Assassinator.
If you removed those restrictions, this would be a hella-boring playthrough, as I would literally steamroll right through everything with optimal choices for pokemon and no penalty for using weaker pokemon as meatsheilds.
I wouldn't bother posting a regular run, as I'm quite sure you would not read it or find it interesting in the least. (At least, less interesting than this one.)

I know, but for some reason I REALLY want to try it because of that, lmao. There were parts were the NPCs were swearing in spanish
It's cause I don't think Pokemon has any difficulty settings, so you can just improvise.

Otherwise, everyone would just play any game with a difficulty setting on the easiest.  Or heck, don't play the game at all (= no challenge whatsoever).
Ok, he spent like forever to get all the way to the final boss under these conditions, and then hits a 10% miss, and "game over", loose the challenge.  (Then start over again?)

If that's not trolling himself, I don't know what is.

Rules don't really seem to say you have to restart (unless that comes under "no save and reload").
Of course, you could always start again from the save if you want, regardless of the "rules" if you feel like you have to finish the game.

I'm not entirely sure about what you mean by "trolling yourself", but if it's pissing yourself off, well that's the purpose of a challenge no?
Pokemon isn't a particularly difficult game to begin with. Its pretty much "press the 'A' button to win!"
