After over 24 hours, 3 word lists, and 35 million words, I can't crack the WPA password :/ Anyone have any favorite dictionaries? I'm trying the word lists again piped through JtR but I doubt that'll help.
lols, I don't even bother with WPA.
WPA is almost imposible to crack. The only suggest that I recommend is to stop using dictinonaries.

It's possible, you just need to hope they're stupid and have a real word or phrase as a password. If I don't do a dictionary attack then what would you recommend I do? Bruteforce it? That'd take over 111,000 years lol
i think you should use brute force instead of dictionaries, its slower, but if it took you a day, brte force would probably have finished by now.

Hell nooooo lol. Bruteforce will take ages trust me, I left it running for a week and it didn't find anything.

lol ive only bruteforced a rar file
WPA was made to fix problems in WEP.
I doubt a rainbow table would work - you're not cracking a hash.
If it's not a dictionary, you could try a hybrid attack if your app supports it. Beyond that, try passwords they're likely to use.
Does WPA use passwords though? I thought they just used hex formatted keys, not passwords...

Must've been the easiest RAR (ie crappiest password). RAR encryption is relatively secure.

Yeah, which is why I edited the suggestion out (in the time between when you read it and when you replied it seemed).
